K5-8th Grade Instructional Personnel - must demonstrate proof of qualifications in accordance with Section 1002.421(1)(h), Florida Statutes. You must show proof of any one of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in any subject (copy of diploma or completed transcript)
  • Three or more years of K-12th grade teaching experience
  • Special skills, knowledge, or expertise that qualifies you to provide instruction in K-12th grade subjects (provide documentation such as certifications, professional development, curriculum training, etc.). Pre-K experience and certifications would not meet this requirement.

PCA has an opening for the 2023-2024 school year for a Preschool Co-Curricular Teacher

Responsibilities:

  • Design and follow a complete lesson plan that follows our monthly themes given by the Preschool Director. 
  • Use a variety of multi-sensory activities and instructional techniques to motivate and stimulate children’s growth and God-given talents in art.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide information when necessary.
  • Monitor children’s interactions, and nurture cooperation, learning, and sharing.
  • Cooperate with administration and staff.
     

Requirements:

  • Proficient knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices. 
  • At least one year of teaching experience.
  • Creative teaching abilities.

  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Summer Camp Counselor

 

Full Time

 

PCA has an opening for the 2024 Summer Camp Counselor.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise campers and keep them safe
  • Help oversee and plan camp activities
  • Learn and implement emergency protocol efforts to ensure the protection of campers
  • Follow curriculum and lesson plans provided by Summer Camp directors
  •  Lead activities, such as crafts and art, demonstrate various techniques, and encourage children to be creative 
  •   Communicate with parents effectively
  •   Be familiar with First Aid training and be able to respond to minor injuries or illnesses immediately
  •  Have health and safety knowledge to help keep all campers safe
  • Possess effective interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with campers and their parents
     

Requirements:

  • Over 18 years of age
  • Has experience working with preschool and elementary-aged children

After Care Teacher

 

Part Time,  2:30 PM - 6:00 PM

 

We have an opening for the 2023-2024 school year for an enthusiastic Christian Aftercare Teacher who will foster and facilitate the spiritual, academic, physical, and social development of students. Prior experience is preferred.

 

The teacher will plan, implement, and carry out effective activities that will help students reach their God potential.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain classroom environment that is safe and conducive to learning and exploration                                                                                                                                                        
  • Facilitate homework assistance and provide a quiet environment during homework time.       
  • Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide information when necessary.
  • Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation, learning, and sharing

Requirements:

  • High school degree or GED required. Must be at least 18 years old. Higher degrees are a plus

Athletic Director

 

Full Time

 

PCA has an opening for the 2024-2025 school year for a passionate Christian Athletic Director at the Cooper City, FL campus.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for administering the Rules and By-Laws of the athletic league.
  • Hire and supervise coaches
  • Contract of all game officials
  • Resolve conflicts that may develop within the Athletic Department
  • Attend all home athletic games and/or arrange for proper supervision of home athletic games
  • Maintain permanent records for each sport, such as wins and losses
  • Determining scholastic eligibility for athletes
  • Work in conjunction with the finance director in developing the yearly budget for the athletic program
  • Arrange for cleaning, repairing, and storing all athletic equipment and maintaining a perpetual inventory of all equipment
  • Supervise the physical equipment and schedule facilities for all interscholastic athletic contests
  • Plan, organize, and supervise all athletic awards programs
  • Represent the school in all athletic business at Conference, State and National meetings
  • Design a reasonable and equitable program for the utilization of the concession stands
  • Maintain an active program that promotes sportsmanship and welcomes the competing teams and guests
  • Annual review of the Athletic Policy Handbook
  • Constantly evaluate the program, always seeking ways of improving interscholastic athletics
  • Supervise and direct 4-8 Head and Assistant Coaches
  • Adhere to the expectation set forth in the Mission Statement of Potential Christian Academy

Executive Administrative Assistant



Full-time: 40 hours per week, additional hours as needed

 

We have an opening for the 2024-2025 school year for an enthusiastic Christian Executive Administrative Assistant who will assist PCA’s head of school, help with day-to-day office responsibilities, and offer support to administrators. Must be a born-again Christian whose lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God.


Responsibilities:

  •  Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operations of PCA’s administrative offices; anticipate needs and take care of them.
  • Provide daily support to the head of school by scheduling meetings, staying on top of emails, answering phone calls, and assisting in the day-to-day activities of the office.
  • Operate as office manager.
  • Prepare in advance for meetings and visitors.
  •  Take notes during administrative meetings and follow through on assigned tasks and projects.
  •  Help with quarterly events, such as Awards Chapels, produce certificates, labels, and envelopes for report cards, programs, etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Spelling Bee and be a resource during and after the event.
  • Support all preparation of Math Olympics and assist during and after the competition.
  • Help prepare for and carry through events, including chapels, certificates, report cards, etc.
  • Keep socia media updated with all the current events happening through out the school year
  • Manage the website.
  • Send out communications to the staff and PCA families. 
  • Manage the background check for chaperons, volunteers, and visitors and keep the list updated yearly.
  • Oversee the Title 1 Program and attend quarterly meetings. 
  • Be an integral part of the preparation of the beginning of the school year by preparing publications and carrying out important tasks during the summer.
  • Assist the preschool director with responsibilities at the front desk or with preschool.
  • Work with the receptionist to communicate maintenance issues and needed repairs or attention to the facilities.
  • Support special events and activities as needed by administrators.
  • Exhibit polite and professional communication with parents and staff.
  • Maintain a professional and modest personal appearance.
  • Receive job applications and check references. 
  • Assist in coordinating preparations for accreditation visits.
  • Serve as liaison for various vendors.

Requirements:

  • Have superior interpersonal relationship skills.
  •  Possess strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to properly use the English language.
  •  Demonstrate a strong work ethic and exhibit great attention to detail.
  •  Have organizational skills and be self-driven.
  •  Must possess a strong desire to partner with families to reach their God potential.
  • Be proficient in computer and technology applications necessary for the position. 
  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred. Must be at least 18 years old.

PCA is always looking for qualified SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS in Cooper City, Florida. All applicants must go through a fingerprinting process and be approved before being called to work. Substitute teacher information will be kept on file. The school will call on an as-needed basis
