K5-10th Grade Instructional Personnel - Must demonstrate proof of qualifications in accordance with Section 1002.421(1)(h), Florida Statutes. You must show proof of any one of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in any subject (copy of diploma or completed transcript)
  • Three or more years of K-12th grade teaching experience
  • Special skills, knowledge, or expertise that qualifies you to provide instruction in K-12th grade subjects (provide documentation such as certifications, professional development, curriculum training, etc.). Pre-K experience and certifications would not meet this requirement.

Elementary Teacher

Full Time

Position Summary:

Potential Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated and faith-driven Elementary Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about educating young learners academically, spiritually, and socially within a Christ-centered environment. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive classroom culture, and integrating biblical principles into daily instruction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards and the school’s Christian values
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Integrate biblical teachings and Christian worldview into all subject areas

Middle & High School History Teacher (Grades 6th - 10th)

Position Summary

Potential Christian Academy seeks a dynamic, faith-driven Upper School History Teacher to teach students in grades 6–10. The ideal candidate will cultivate a classroom environment where academic excellence, biblical truth, critical thinking, and character development are integrated into the study of history and social sciences.
The teacher will inspire students to understand historical events through both scholarly inquiry and a biblical worldview, helping them develop a deeper appreciation for God's sovereignty throughout history and their responsibility as Christian citizens and leaders.


Key Responsibilities
•    Teach history and social studies courses for grades 6–10, including subjects such as World History, American History, Civics, Geography, and related disciplines.
•    Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards, school curriculum, and biblical principles.
•    Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs and learning styles.
•    Foster critical thinking, historical analysis, research, discussion, and writing skills.
•    Integrate primary and secondary source materials into classroom instruction.
•    Use educational technology to enhance learning and student engagement.

Position Summary


Potential Christian Academy seeks a creative, passionate, and faith-driven Art Teacher to cultivate artistic expression, creativity, and appreciation for the visual arts through a biblical worldview. The Art Teacher will provide engaging instruction that develops students' artistic skills, creative thinking, and understanding of art history while encouraging students to use their God-given talents to glorify Him.
The ideal candidate will foster an environment where students explore various artistic techniques, media, and styles while building confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.


Key Responsibilities
•    Develop and implement a comprehensive visual arts curriculum aligned with school goals and grade-level standards.
•    Teach a variety of artistic disciplines including drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, design, and art appreciation.
•    Introduce students to significant artists, art movements, and cultural contributions throughout history.
•    Provide instruction in artistic techniques, craftsmanship, creativity, and visual communication.
•    Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students.

Middle School Science Teacher (Grades 6th - 8th)

Full-time

Position Summary: 


PCA is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Science Teacher who is passionate about both science education and Christian discipleship. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore God’s creation through scientific inquiry while integrating biblical truth into daily instruction and classroom life.

Responsibilities:

•    Design and follow a complete lesson plan.
•    Plan instructional programs for the class in keeping with the school’s curriculum.
•    Use a variety of multi-sensory activities and instructional manipulatives to motivate and stimulate children’s growth and God-given talents.
•    Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide information when necessary.
•    Assess students’ performance to ensure mastery of grade-appropriate skills.
•    Monitor student's interactions, and nurture cooperation, learning, and sharing.
•    Cooperate with administration and staff.


Requirements:

•    Hold a bachelor’s degree in given subject area and/or be certified in middle school science.
•    Possess an ACSI or state-issued certification in middle school science.
•    At least one year of full-time teaching experience at the middle school level.
•    Proficient knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices.
•    Creative teaching abilities.
•    Strong classroom management and organizational skills.


Campus Monitor


Reports To: Dean of Students / Principal
Employment Status: Full-Time or Part-Time

Position Summary
The Campus Monitor plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, orderly, and positive school environment. This position is responsible for supervising students throughout the school day, monitoring campus activities, supporting school safety procedures, and reinforcing school expectations for behavior and conduct.
The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a heart for working with children and adolescents, and a commitment to fostering a secure and respectful environment that reflects the mission and values of Potential Christian Academy.


Key Responsibilities
•    Monitor students during arrival, dismissal, lunch periods, recess, class transitions, and other designated times.
•    Maintain a visible presence throughout the campus to promote safety and positive student behavior.
•    Ensure students follow school rules, policies, and procedures.
•    Assist with traffic flow and student movement throughout the campus.
•    Report safety concerns, hazards, or incidents promptly to administration.
•    Respond appropriately to student conflicts and assist in de-escalating situations when necessary.
•    Support emergency drills and school safety procedures.
•    Conduct regular patrols of hallways, common areas, playgrounds, parking lots, and other assigned locations.
•    Monitor visitor access and report unauthorized individuals on campus.
•    Help maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming campus environment.
•    Observe and document incidents involving student behavior or safety concerns.
•    Build positive and respectful relationships with students.
•    Encourage responsible behavior and reinforce school expectations.
•    Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and Christian character.
•    Assist students with directions, questions, and basic needs throughout the school day.
•    Complete incident reports and required documentation accurately and promptly.
•    Communicate concerns and observations to teachers, administrators, and parents as directed.
•    Assist with school events, assemblies, athletic activities, and special programs as assigned.
•    Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.

•    Previous experience in a school setting, youth ministry, security, law enforcement, or customer service.
•    CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
•    Experience with conflict resolution and student behavior management..
Physical Requirements
•    Ability to walk, stand, and patrol campus for extended periods.
•    Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
•    Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
•    Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and safety concerns.
 


 

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

Part time

PCA is always looking for qualified SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS in Cooper City, Florida. All applicants must go through a fingerprinting process and be approved before being called to work. Substitute teacher information will be kept on file. The school will call on an as-needed basis
